1.0 Preamble
This web page is about the matter of the so-called Alien Abductions ... which
sometimes appear to be emotionally-charged episodes that perfectly
ordinary people seems to be experiencing, as the following video clip suggests:
"We are perfectly normal people ..."

... and we're all trying to understand what's happening to us, who's doing it,

In the www.abduct.com site, under the heading "What is a Contactee, Experiencer, and Participant?",
a brief explanation of the terminology about those affected by their Alien
Abduction experiences is presented as follows:
Contactee,
experiencer, and
participant are all terms describing an
abductee. However, abductee is the term most recognized by the public. As abductees
learn more about their abduction experiences, many prefer to be called
contactees, experiencers, or participants.
This shift in terminology often reflects the abductees' change in attitude from
fear to acceptance. They accept it because they feel they cannot change the
phenomena. They are a product of it and will live with its effects. Or, they
may feel compelled to learn more about their abduction experience by meeting
with other abductees and working with researchers.

someone in the world reports being abducted by aliens. The usually [sic] statement is
that they were sleeping or driving along an abandoned road when they notice a
craft hovering. Aliens appear and take the victim on board the craft. People

made that the abductees were sexually experimented on.A few people have said that they are forced to crossbreed with an alien. Months

create a new race of beings. This subspecies will then be taken to a planet

2.0 Alien Abduction - Intro
Just what is this phenomenon called Alien Abduction?
Before delving into definitions and explanations from the encyclopedias and
dictionaries, let's have a look at the opening clip of a History Channel
documentary, specifically the "Alien Abductions" episode from "The Unexplained":

Claims of alien abduction are one of the more perplexing phenomena of the 20th
Century ...
Sometimes called Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind, these experiences are said to involve humans taken aboard UFOs by aliens ...
In the Skeptic Dictionary (skepdic.com), the following points and ideas are presented:
According to a Gallup poll done at the end of the twentieth century, about
one-third of Americans believe aliens have visited us, an increase of 5% over the previous decade.
[According to UFO/ET believers, the] rise in UFO sightings is due to the
increase in alien activity on Earth. The aliens are abducting people in larger numbers, are leaving other signs of their presence in the form of
so-called crop circles, are involved in cattle mutilation, and occasionally provide revelations such as the Urantia Book to selected prophets. ... UFO devotees are also convinced that there is a
government and mass media conspiracy to cover up the alien activities ....
There is a widespread belief that alien beings have traveled to Earth from some other planet and are doing reproductive
experiments on a chosen few. ...
Perhaps there are beings who can travel at very fast speeds and have the
technology and the raw materials to build vessels that can travel at near the
speed of light or greater. Have such beings come here to abduct people, rape
and experiment on them?
There have been many reports of abduction and sexual violation by creatures who
are small and bald or are white, gray, or green; have big craniums, small
chins, large slanted eyes, and pointed or no ears.
How does one explain the number of such claims and their similarity? The most
reasonable explanation for the accounts being so similar is that they are based
on the same movies, the same stories, the same television programs, and the
same comic strips.
Wikipedia, the free, user-editable, online encyclopedia, writes about the abduction phenomenon, as follows:
The term "abduction phenomenon" describes claims of non-human creatures kidnapping individuals and
temporarily removing them from familiar terrestrial surroundings. People
alleged to have been abducted are called "abductees" or "experiencers". The abductors, usually interpreted as being extraterrestrial life forms, are said to subject experiencers to a forced medical examination that
emphasizes the alleged experiencer's reproductive system. Some aspects of the
phenomenon are more benign, however, as the alleged entities often warn against
environmental abuse and the dangers of nuclear weapons, consequently, while
many of these
purported encounters are described as terrifying, some have been viewed as
pleasant or transformative.
A website known as crystalinks, explains alien abduction in this way:
The
abduction phenomenon is an umbrella term used to describe a number of hypotheses, claims or
assertions stating that non-human creatures kidnap individuals, sometimes
called
abductees, usually for medical testing or for sexual reproduction procedures. Many such
encounters are described as terrifying or humiliating, but others describe them
as transformative or even pleasant. Reports of the abduction phenomenon have
been made from around the world, but have perhaps seen most mainstream
attention in the United States.
Most abduction cases show these patterns:
Capture (Abductees taken from room/area and find themselves in the "ship")
Examination (Probes inserted in different areas, etc.)
Communicate ("Aliens" speak with abductees)
Tour (Not always described but some abductees claim to be shown the
ship)
Missing Time or Loss of Time (Many abductees suffer from periods of time
removed from their memory, often coming back to them later)
Return (Returned, sometimes with environmental changes)
Aftermath (Sickness, new phobias, ridicule, etc.)
Such alleged abductions are often closely connected to UFO reports, and are
sometimes supposedly conducted by so-called
Greys: short, grey-skinned humanoids with large, pear-shaped heads and enormous,
dark eyes.
3.0 Betty & Barney Hill
The original Alien Abduction case, of course, involved the Hills, i.e., Betty &
Barney.
The Skeptic's Dictionary says that:
The
alien abduction story that seems to have started the cult beliefs about alien visitation and
experimentation is the
Betty and Barney Hill story. The Hills claim to have been abducted by aliens on September 19, 1961. Betty
first "remembered" her abduction during a series of nightmares, which she told
Barney about. Barney claims the aliens took a sample of his sperm. Betty claims
they stuck a needle in her belly button. She took people out to an alien
landing spot, but only she could see the aliens and their craft. The Hills
recalled most of their story under hypnosis a few years after the abduction.
Barney Hill reported that the aliens had "
wraparound eyes", a rather unusual feature. However, twelve days earlier an episode of
"The Outer Limits" featured just such an alien being .... According to Robert Schaeffer, "we can
find all the major elements of contemporary UFO abductions in a 1930 comic
adventure,
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century."
The Hill's story has been repeated many times. There is a period of amnesia
following the alleged encounter. There is then usually a session of hypnosis,
counseling or psychotherapy during which comes the recollection of having been
abducted and experimented on. The only variation in the abductees' stories is
that some claim to have had implants put in them and many claim to have scars and marks on their bodies put there
by aliens. All describe the aliens in much the same way.
Wikipedia says that:
The first alien abduction narrative to be widely publicized was the Betty and Barney Hill abduction in 1961 [in the US]. Reports of the abduction phenomenon have been made around
the world, but are less common outside of English speaking countries,
especially the United States. The contents of the abduction narrative often
seem to vary with the home culture of the alleged abductee.
In a 10 Jun 2001 article entitled "A Scientific Explanation of the UFO Mystery", collated on the iwasabducted.com website, the author of the article, Arnold Carbajal, mentioned briefly about
the Hills' abduction:
Referring to the Barney and Betty Hill abduction case: The alien told Betty
that they had trading routes between stars that were about 37 light years
apart; they probably move much faster than light speed to make this trading
profitable.
... while in another article, "
The Russell Park Incident", also collated on the same website, the article writer, Paul M. Davis,
writing about his own alien/UFO encounters ("I have been interested in the
subject of aliens, UFOS, and high technology since my first multiple witness
flying saucer sighting in 1984." - Davies) mentioned the Hills three times in
his article, first in connection with an alien/UFO encounter in which Davis
briefly compared the experience to that of the Hills', secondly about the
reptoid/reptilian aliens that the Hills encountered during their alien
abduction, and thirdly implying that there are aliens who communicate without
speaking with their mouths unlike the aliens that the Hills encountered ...
Once you get something inside your head you may not get it out. While my
encounter with the aliens was not too bad compared to other well known
documented alien abduction cases such as Betty and Barney Hill or Travis Walton or the Alagash Incident, it did frighten me nonetheless. I
just couldn't believe I was there. I touched the wall of the craft and felt a
lot of heat but the inside of the craft was cold. I have training in martial
arts and guerrilla warfare since the age of 14, but nothing could help me that
night, except for prayer. I am now 31 years old.
... the gray aliens seen [sic] to be the more malevolent beings then the full size reptile-like aliens that
Betty and Barney Hill spoke to.
... the aliens I saw were not like one ones Betty and Barney Hill told about in
their story. Those aliens were said to have spoken using their mouths.
